Server Rules

Our rules aim to provide a fair and balanced way to ensure the gamemode is played fairly. These rules are a guideline and common sense should be used when applying them in-game.

Rules are not up to interpretation. If the rules do not explicitly state something, it is allowed.
1.0 Respect
Keep all discrimination, slurs, racism, homophobia and harassment at a minimum.
1.1 Game Modifications
Using hacks, scripts, or any game modifications that provide an unfair advantage is not allowed. This includes macros, auto-clickers, ESP, aimbot, etc.
1.2 Advertising
You may not advertise other servers, communities, or websites.
1.3 Exploiting
Exploiting bugs or glitches is not allowed. If you find a bug, report it to staff instead.
1.4 Alt Accounts
Using alternative accounts to avoid punishment or gain unfair advantages is prohibited.
1.5 Mic Spam
Excessive mic spam is not allowed. Hobo is the only job that may use reasonable mic spam as part of their roleplay.
1.6 Level Exploiting
Purposefully farming XP by killing, arresting, etc people without valid RP reason is not allowed. Doing so clearly and intentionally may lead to your level being reset.
2.0 Killing others
You may not kill or attempt to kill without one of the reasons listed below.
2.0.1 Killing others: permitted reasons
- Self-defence: if another player attacks you first, you may attack them back, regardless of if their attack was intentional or within the rules. This includes if you are being mugged, have been tased, have been handcuffed, have been made to slip on a banana peel or if someone has attempted to steal from you.
- Warning: You may kill a player after warning them twice for a valid roleplay reason. If a player warns you, you may kill them after their second warn.
- Raiding: You may kill anyone within the base you are raiding or if they are the base owner and are in the area.
- KOS Signs: if you have a valid KOS sign up, you may kill anyone who has breached the conditions of the sign.
- Mugging: if the person you are mugging does not comply with your commands within 10 seconds, you may kill them.
- Kidnapping: if the person you are kidnapping does not comply with your commands you may kill them.
- Terror: if you advertise terror, you may kill people for the duration of your terror.
- Gang Violence: Bloods and Crips may kill each other on sight without any reason, however, must follow NLR rules.
- Underground Mutant: Underground mutants can kill anyone in the sewers. Anyone can kill underground mutants anywhere.
- Zombies: Infected zombies are KOS everywhere.
- Territory Flags: While taking a flag if someone enters the Flag capture zone you may kill each other, If someone is taking your gang flag you must enter the capture zone before killing them.
- Gang Defence: If someone attacks a member of your gang, you may kill them after you advert "Gang Defence"
2.1 New Life Rule (NLR)
You may not interact with anything near the place you died including text/voice chat, opening keypads/doors, placing props etc, for 3 minutes.
2.1.1 New Life Rule (NLR): exemptions
- Underground Mutant: Underground mutants do not have to follow NLR.
- Law Enforcement may always return to bank and PD.
2.2 Prop Abuse
You may not prop block, prop climb, prop surf, prop kill or interfere with map NPCs.
2.3 Fear RP
When a mugger or kidnapper has a gun pointed at you, do not fight back or run away. Exceptions: if you outnumber them or if you were already holding a gun before the encounter.
2.9 AFK Restrictions
You may not go AFK as essential jobs like Banker, Mayor, or Police. You may not roleplay with players who are clearly AFK (such as a Miner).
2.10 Scamming
Intentionally scamming other players out of in-game money, items, or services is not allowed.
2.12 Explosives
Explosives cannot be used during boss fights, when you are raiding a base or when raiding PD / Bank.
2.13 Spawn Protections
You may not Roleplay, bring props or entities into spawn.
2.14 Metagaming
You may not use information from out of character sources in roleplay.
3.0 Law Enforcement Rules
Law enforcement must follow the laws of the city at all times.
3.1 Laws
Laws must follow these guidelines:
- Laws may not encourage breaking rules or exploiting loopholes.
- Banning jaywalking is not allowed.
- You may not limit or discriminate against specific jobs.
- You may not contradict default laws.
3.2 Police Warrants
Police officers may only request warrants or wanted notices if they have physically seen or received a report from a non-police officer that a crime has taken place.
3.3 Stealing
You must advert steal when you want to steal something. You must have seen what you intend to steal before adverting.
3.4 Mugging
You must advert before you mug someone. You can mug for a maximum of $30,000 and must give the victim at least 10 seconds to comply. You must wait a cooldown of 10 minutes before you can mug again.
3.5 Kidnapping
You must advert kidnap before kidnapping someone. You can only hold them for a maximum of 10 minutes and ransom cannot exceed $50,000.
3.6 Terror
There is a 30-minute cooldown between global terror events. You must advert: “/advert “terror” before doing so. Your terror must not be longer than 30 seconds.
3.7 Public Menace
You may not interfere with people raiding.
3.8 Banker
Bankers may not print money themselves, but can store printers for other players.
4.0 Raiding
You must advert raid before you raid a base.
4.1 Raiding: Maximum Raid Time
You may only raid a base for a maximum of 10 minutes. You may not raid the same base again for 15 minutes.
4.2 Police Department / Bank Raids
You may only raid the police department or bank if you are a criminal job. You must use the NPC to initiate the raid to ensure you're within cooldown.
4.3 Props during raids
You may not place props or entities whilst you are being raided.
4.4 Countering Raids
If you can raid, you may also counter raids. You must advert before you counter and have a valid roleplay reason to counter, such as being in the same gang as the player being raided.
4.5 Mayor Immunity
The Mayor cannot be killed or raided for 5 minutes after being elected.
5.0 Building
You may only build in properties that have doors or on the roofs of buildings (which must have an accessible way to get up before any raid must be initiated). You may block off any entrances into your base as long as there is at least one way to enter.
5.1 Building Signs
Building signs mean you are exempt from any roleplay in your base & surrounding area. You may not have any entities whilst building.
5.2 KOS Signs
KOS signs must be placed in front of any entry into the base and must be visible and legible. KOS signs may have conditions listed that make a player KOS, for example, KOS if weapon out.
5.3 Keypads & Fading Doors
You may only have 3 fading doors per base. Keypads must be placed in a clear way that denotes which door they open. Each set of keypads may only control one door. When the fading door is open, it must change material so its clear that it is open. You may have 2 keypads per door, one entering & one exiting.
5.4 Buttons
You may only have 3 buttons per base. Buttons must be on toggle (not hold).
5.5 Building on the street
Only hobos may build on the street. They are limited to 20 props to construct a small begging area.
5.6 Accessibility
You must be able to access the whole base on foot without crouching or jumping.
5.7 Materials
You may not use any disorienting materials such as mirrors or create blackout / whiteout bases.
5.8 Layout
Your base may not contain more than 4 turns, with each 90 degree turn counting as one turn. You may not funnel players down a long hall, corridor or create maze-like designs that are meant to disorient the player. If your base is confusing, it's probably against the rules.
5.9 No Collide Props
Any no collided props must be transparent, with a maximum of 100 alpha.
5.11 One Way Props
You may have one way props and materials, however, you cannot shoot through them.
5.12 Shooting
When shooting an attacker, both players must have a clear line of sight and the raider must be able to see your head and torso. You may not shoot through one way props or materials.
5.13 Entities within bases
All entities must be accessible and not hidden inside world props or hidden areas.
5.14 Space
The distance between doors must be at least 2x2 players wide and at least 1 player tall.
5.15 Casino Building
Casino owners must place their machines in a public area or in a designated building. Machines must be accessible to all players. You may make a VIP / Paid Entry area as long as some machines are accessible.
5.16 Bank Building
Only Bankers and Security may build in the bank. The map entities within the bank must be accessible.
99.1 Precedents: Information
Precedents are decisions made by the staff that are used as a basis for future decisions.
99.2 Rulings: Crossfire
Crossfire is not a valid reason for any rule violation.
99.3 Rulings: Lightsaber Use
You may not use lightsabers during raids. If you use a force power on a player, they may KOS you. If a player uses a force power on you, you may KOS them.
99.4 Rulings: Airdrops & Gang Zones
You may only attack players in airdrops or gang zones if you are also in the airdrop or gang zone.
99.5 Rulings: Switching jobs after/during raids
You may not switch jobs when being raided / directly after a raid to get rid of your entities. If reported, you are liable to forfeit $1,000,000 or half your cash (whichever is less) to the reporter.
